(Carbondale, IL) — It’s the uncertainty over the rain. Local leaders in southern Illinois yesterday said they’ve sandbagged what they can, but they have no idea how high local rivers will go because there’s more rain in the forecast today. The National Weather Service is leaving a Flood Warning in place through tomorrow for the Mississippi River south of St. Louis and for the Big Muddy River. Folks in southern Illinois say it’s now “wait and see.”
