(Springfield, IL) — A mother is suing Uber and the driver involved in a motorcycle crash in Springfield last year that killed her teenage son. Authorities say 17-year-old Nathan Gulley and 16-year-old Isaiah Tuppince died in September after the bike they were riding collided with Michael Robinson’s SUV near Ninth Street and South Grand Avenue. The “State Journal Register” reports Tuppince’s mother filed a lawsuit last week claiming Robinson was working for Uber at the time of the crash and may have been distracted by the company’s app on his cell phone.
