(Normal, IL) — Leaders in Normal may be ready to spend 13-million dollars on a new railroad underpass. The town is expected tonight to tell a consultant whether to study a simple rail crossing near the Uptown Station or to pursue the much more expensive option. Normal town leaders are looking at the more expensive project as a way to grow the city’s center in coming years.
