(Normal, IL) — It’ll be a few weeks before we know what the start-up car company that has yet to make a car paid for the old Mitsubishi plant in Normal. But the sale is official. Rivian Automotive signed the final documents yesterday. The company is hoping to eventually add 500 jobs at the plant and make an electric, self-driving “mobility device.” Local governments are committing millions of dollars in incentives to get Rivian up and running.
