DECATUR – Macon County Clerk Steve Bean says the 10,000th vote was placed in the ballot box Friday Afternoon. Macon County surpasses 10,000 grace, early, absentee, and nursing home votes. That number surpasses what as seen in 2012. The Macon County Clerk’s office has seen a steady line all Friday and will be open again for voters Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday the Clerk’s office will be open 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. For questions about voting call the office at (217) 424-1333. Sunday Afternoon Bean says the Central Count team of Republican and Democratic Election judges will process the third batch of mail in absentee ballots.
