A Decatur man Roy Armour, Jr., is facing multiple charges for allegedly injuring his grandmother and stealing from her.
According to Decatur Police sworn statements, Armour, Jr. was arrested during the early morning hours of October 18. Decatur police say officers were dispatched to a home in the 1400 block of North Poole at about 2:30 a.m.
Decatur police say the victim, an 83-year-old woman, reported to officers that her grandson, identified as Armour, visited her at about 2:00 a.m., and both began having a normal conversation at a table. Officers say the victim reported standing up from the table and turning her back to her grandson, at which point “she felt a push on her back, and then she stated she hit something with her chin, and then lost consciousness.”
