(Toronto, Ontario) — Edwin Encarnacion’s three-run homer in the bottom of the 11th gave the Blue Jays a 5-2 win over the Orioles in the AL wild card game. It’s Toronto’s first postseason walk-off homer since Joe Carter’s World Series winner in 1993. Toronto moves on to face the Rangers in the ALDS.

(Flushing, NY) — The NL wild card game pits the Giants against the Mets tonight in New York. San Francisco’s Madison Bumgarner will oppose Noah Syndergaard. Tonight’s winner advances to face the Cubs in the NLDS.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The Colts have cut ties with starting cornerback Antonio Cromartie and starting linebacker Sio Moore. Cromartie was signed on August 22nd after it was determined that Vontae Davis would miss significant time with an ankle injury. Moore became a starter when the Colts released Nate Irving in September. Moore led the team in tackles but was seen as a liability in pass coverage and had a number of missed tackles. Cromartie struggled in coverage in all four games. The Colts’ defense is 24th in the NFL allowing over 382 yards per game.

(Dallas, TX) — Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib could face NFL discipline after he apparently shot himself in the leg this summer. WFAA television reports Dallas Police have completed their investigation into the June 5th shooting and determined the gunshot was self-inflicted. It’s unclear if the 30-year-old will face any charges.

(Oakland, CA) — The new-look Warriors put on a show for the ORACLE Arena crowd in their preseason home debut. Golden State romped the Clippers, 120-75. Kevin Durant had 21 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in his first home game.

(Chicago, IL) — The Cubs are setting their rotation for their upcoming NL Division Series. Jon Lester will start Game One on Friday at Wrigley Field against either the Giants or Mets. Kyle Hendricks will start Game Two, while Jake Arrieta will pitch in Game Three. The Giants and Mets meet tonight in New York in the NL wild card game.

(Scottsdale, AZ) — Tim Tebow is bringing his star power to the Arizona Fall League. The Mets assigned the Heisman Trophy winner to the Scottsdale Scorpions. Michael Jordan played for the same team in 1994 when he played professional baseball. The AFL begins play on Tuesday.
