The Mt. Zion volleyball team continues to win volleyball games and it doesn’t matter if their close or not they are winning and putting the pressure on every team they play. They picked up their six straight win on the road against Effingham on Thursday night in straight sets, 25-19, 25-23. The offensive output that Mt. Zion has is one reason they are 11-1 in and 3-0 in conference play. Erin Ripple led the way with seven kills and Hayden Engelbrecht added five kills. Stephanie Hurm has stepped up and also done a nice job with the offense as she collected 20 assists on the night. Kaitlyn Baker led Effingham with seven kills and Sidney Webster added 12 assists. The Mt. Zion Braves are one of the hottest teams in the area and look to stay hot tomorrow in the Eisenhower tournament.
