The Macon County Conservation District will celebrate fifty years by hosting a community forum and presentation by a journalist and author of nine books. Richard Louv, co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Children and Nature Network and best-selling author, will speak on “The Nature-Rich Life” on October 6. Not only will he speak on the topic, he will also participate in a panel addressing how to make Decatur and Macon County a nature-rich community. The events are in collaboration with the Millikin University Institute for Science Entrepreneurship with support from the Andreas Foundation through the Community Foundation of Macon County.
