The Meridian volleyball team got back in the win column on Thursday night as they picked up a straight sets victory at home against Nokomis, 25-20 and 25-11. It was a close first set for Meridian but they were able to close it out and carry the momentum into set two, which they ran away with winning 25-11 to move their record above .500 to 3-2 on the young season. Senior Chelsea Getz led the way for Meridian with seven kills, Hannah Wetzel had seven digs and Drew Newberry had a team high 13 digs. Meridian will return to action Monday at home against Riverton.
