The home opener for Maroa-Forsyth volleyball was spoiled by Heyworth on Tuesday night but the Trojans responded in a positive way on Thursday night picking up a straight sets win on the road against Illini Central, 25-22 and 25-14. The Trojans are looking to have another a big year and after a tough loss they responded in a big way to even their record at 1-1 on the year. Maroa-Forsyth was led by senior Savana Sparks who tallied eight kills and eight digs and Sydney White and Reese Bobitt each recorded six kills, respectively. Carly Mason was the court general on Thursday night racking up a team high 23 assists. The Trojans return to action on Tuesday night at Argenta-Oreana.
