After going 30-8 a season ago the Maroa-Forsyth volleyball team battled tough in their non-conference home opener on Tuesday night but fell in straight sets to Heyworth, 25-17 and 25-23. Despite the loss, their were a lot of positives for the Trojans as they were led by sophomore Reese Bobitt in kills with eight and sophomore Annelise Sparks led the team with 10 digs and senior Savana Sparks added nine digs. Maroa-Forsyth is 0-1 on the season and look to bounce back tomorrow night on the road against Illini Central.
