(Oakland, CA) — A’s teammates Billy Butler and Danny Valencia are being fined after a fight in the clubhouse. The “San Francisco Chronicle” reports Butler suffered a concussion after Valencia punched him in the temple. Multiple teammates had to step in to break up the altercation.

(Baltimore, MD) — Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg is on the 15-day disabled list with soreness in his right elbow. Strasburg started the year 15-and-1, but is 0-and-3 with a 14.66 ERA in his last three starts. Strasburg signed a seven-year, 175-million-dollar contract extension earlier this year.

(Cincinnati, OH) — Adrian Gonzalez hit three of the Dodgers’ seven home runs in an 18-9 thrashing of the Reds in Cincinnati. Gonzalez drove in eight runs for the Dodgers, who hold a one-game lead on the Giants for first place in the NL West. The two teams open a three-game set in LA tonight.

The longtime star is forming a 100-million-dollar venture capital fund that will invest in media, technology and data companies. (Indianapolis, IN) — The Colts are bringing in veteran cornerback Antonio Cromartie. Terms of the pact were not disclosed. The signing comes after starter Patrick Robinson suffered a groin injury Saturday. Pro Bowl corner Vontae Davis is also battling an ankle injury.
