News Channel 5 in Chicago reported Rep. Rodney Davis was named as a member of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s newly-announced Agricultural Advisory Committee Tuesday. Davis represents Illinois’ 13th congressional district, which covers portions of central and southwestern Illinois. According to a release issued by Trump’s campaign, the committee will aim to provide new ideas to strengthen America’s agricultural industry and support rural communities. The board’s formation represents the billionaire’s “endorsement of these individuals’ diverse skill sets and ideas that can improve the lives of those in agricultural communities.”
