Adam Wainwright improved to 3-and-3 despite allowing six earned runs. St. Louis swept the three-game series.

(Chicago, IL) — The Cubs open a three-game series against the Pirates this afternoon at Wrigley Field. Chicago is 25-and-8, coming off losing two-of-three versus the Padres. The Cubs swept the Pirates in a three-game set earlier this month. Jason Hammel starts for Chicago opposite Pittsburgh’s Francisco Liriano.

(Oklahoma City, OK) — The Thunder are heading to the Western Conference Finals to battle the Warriors. Oklahoma City took down the Spurs, 113-99, at home in Game Six to take the semifinal series 4-to-2. Kevin Durant led the way with 37 points. It’s the fourth time in six years the Thunder have reached this round in the NBA playoffs.

San Jose will face the Blues in the Western Conference Finals. Game One is in St. Louis on Sunday. The Eastern Conference Finals start tonight with the Penguins hosting the Lightning.
