The St. Louis Cardinals picked up their first win of the season beating the Atlanta Braves 7-4. The Cardinals had three pinch-hit home runs from Jeremy Hazelbaker, Greg Garcia and Aledyms Diaz. It was the first time in Major League Baseball that 3 different pinch-hit homers were hit in a game. Kevin Siegrist picked up the win in relief for the Cards.
The Chicago Cubs lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 on a walk-off hit by Yasmany Tomas of Arizona. Trevor Cahill took the loss for the Cubs. Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist each drove in a run for Chicago.
The Chicago White Sox fell to the Cleveland Indians 7-1. John Danks was the losing pitcher for the White Sox. Todd Frazier homered for the lone run for Chicago.
