Riff – Ready for Adoption
Forrest is a 6 month old Newfoundland puppy.
Forrest was a mill release at 13 weeks old due to rear leg issues. Radiographs revealed grade 4 luxating patellas and poorly positioned tibial crests.
We were able to bring the patellas into a better position with soft tissue surgery. He will need major surgery on both rear legs once his growth plates close (at roughly 18 months old).
Adopters need to continue water therapy at Sports Vet in Savoy weekly. Rescue will cover cost. Rescue will also cover the cost of surgery once he is old enough.
Forrest is fully vaccinated, chipped and on prevention.
Due to his rear leg issues it is not recommended to neuter him until he is fully grown.
