Manar Eyeing Vote On ADM Bill

(Springfield, IL) -- State Senator Andy Manar is anxiously awaiting to hear if the legislature will vote this week on an incentive package to keep ADM headquartered in Illinois. The Democrat authored an amendment to the bill that gives the ag giant millions in tax breaks if it stays in the Land of Lincoln and provides hundreds of new jobs in Decatur. ADM would be required to relocate at least 100 jobs from out of state to replace the 100 being lost in Decatur when corporate leaders pack up for Chicago, most likely. It also calls for ADM to hire at least 100 new full-time employees a year in Decatur for five years.
