(Decatur, IL) -- The search for a new DPS 61 Superintendent is off and running. The Board of Education held an open work session Monday to set the guidelines for the headhunting firm it hired to conduct a nationwide search for a replacement for Gloria Davis. Board President Brian Hodges says a pool of hundreds will likely be reduced to a handful of finalists. Current Superintendent Gloria Davis will be retiring at the end of the current academic year. Officials plan to interview candidates in December with a final selection made by February.
