State Supreme Court Convenes In Chicago

(Chicago, IL) -- The Illinois Supreme Court is holding its first full official term outside of Springfield. The court building in the capital is undergoing major renovations, so justices will convene in Chicago instead. It’s the first time in nearly 120 years that the state’s highest court will not hear cases in Springfield. Despite the change in venue, Chief Justice Thomas Kilbride says it’s business as usual for himself and his fellow justices.
