Juveniles Arrested For Clinton Stabbing

(Clinton, IL) -- A half-dozen teenagers are staying in the McLean County Juvenile Detention Center while they await formal charges for a stabbing in Clinton’s Kiwanis Park Monday afternoon. Police were called after the victim sought treatment at John Warner Hospital. The suspects, who are between the ages of 14 and 16, are said to have ganged up on the victim, causing a number of contusions and resulting in multiple stab wounds. The injuries were so severe, the victim had to be transported to Carle Hospital for some special care. The teens have been arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated battery, mob action and the unlawful use of a deadly weapon.
