Wet Spring Still Causing Problems For Farmers



(Tallulah, IL) -- Wet weather is still causing plenty of problems, especially for soybean farmers across the region.  Ken Winkelmann, who works with the Illinois Farm Bureau, says some farmers have been completely unable to plant anything this season. Delayed planting means a late harvest, which increases the risk of frost damage. Meanwhile, 95-percent of the state’s corn crop has been sown.
