(Decatur, IL) -- A burglary suspect is now in custody after authorities raided a home Wednesday on East Prairie Street in Decatur. The Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Decatur police and U.S. Marshals got word that 34-year-old Zakobi Hayes was hiding out inside the residence. A man and woman who live there claimed they didn’t know Hayes and wouldn’t let police inside without a search warrant. After a search warrant was finally secured, officers were allowed inside and found Hayes hiding in the attic. The parolee was taken into custody without incident.
