Land Swap Approved

(Decatur, IL) -- The Decatur Park District’s board of commissioners Tuesday unanimously approved a land swap that will hand Spencer Park over to ADM. In exchange, the Park District is getting nearly 20 acres near the intersection of I-72 and U.S. 51. Officials say they plan to install a walking and bike trail that will connect with Forsyth’s trail system. ADM is expected to buy three acres of parkland next month along Division Street that has been vandalized in recent years and fallen into disrepair.
