(Decatur, IL) -- Fresh off an emotional General Election, Decatur officials are now turning their attentions to local races up for grabs on Primary Election Day in the spring. Filing begins Monday for folks who want to run for local positions. Three city council seats will be up for grabs but incumbents Jerry Dawson, Pat McDaniel and Julie Moore Wolfe are expected to run again. Seats in the Decatur school and park districts, Decatur Township and RCC are also on the ballot. Nominating petitions can be filed beginning at 8 a.m. You have until 5 p.m. November 26th to jump in the game.
