(Charleston, IL) -- Charleston police are warning residents about scammers going door to door. They’re telling folks that they represent the city’s choice for energy providers. The only problem is that Charleston officials have yet to even enter negotiations with regard to electric aggregation or even choose a provider. What’s more, whoever’s chosen will not be visiting customers door-to-door. Police encourage residents not to provide any personal information to these solicitors and call 911 if they come to your door.
