Reidy To Retire As Clinton Police Chief

(Clinton, IL) -- After 20 years as police chief in Clinton, Mike Reidy is going to retire at year’s end. The 59-year-old has spent the past 37 years in law enforcement but still says he’ll miss the daily contact with the folks in Clinton, as well as his staff, all of which except for one he has hired. Reidy has no specific plans as to what he will do with his time except to be sharing it with his three grandkids. He is recommending that assistant chief Ben Lowers take over, but that’s up to the city council.
