(Decatur, IL) -- Forecasters say it looks like we have just one more day of oppressive tropical conditions here in Decatur before relief arrives. The National Weather Service says highs today will reach the mid-90s, with heat index values topping 100 degrees. The relief will come in the form of a cold front entering the region late tonight into early Saturday. Of course, when the cold air meets the thick stuff we’re dealing with now, that creates the potential for thunderstorms. Temps aren’t even expected to hit 90 on Saturday. Sunny skies and a high of 84 is on tap for Sunday.
