(Peoria, IL) — One of the Republicans who helped craft Illinois’ new state budget says Illinois lawmakers took a break from normalcy for about two years. State Rep Tom Demmer told WMBD-TV over the weekend that the new state budget represents more than just a spending plan. He says it represents a return to how things are supposed to work at the State Capitol.
