(Milwaukee, WI) — Mike Budenholzer is the new head coach of the Bucks. ESPN reports the former Hawks head coach has agreed to a four-year contract with Milwaukee. Budenholzer inherits a Bucks team that finished seventh in the East this season at 44-and-38, losing to Boston in seven games in the first round of the playoffs.

(Minneapolis, MN) — Dexter Fowler singled in two runs in the first inning and the Cardinals never trailed in a 7-5 win over the Twins in Minnesota. Matt Carpenter went 3-for-5 with an RBI and Tommy Pham homered as St. Louis split the two-game series. Jordan Hicks got the win. Bud Norris recorded the final five outs to notch his ninth save.

(Cumberland, GA) — Carl Edwards Jr. gave up three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Cubs lost 4-1 at Atlanta. Kris Bryant singled in a run in the fifth to the game at one for Chicago, which has split the first two games of the series. The Cubs are 22-and-18, two games back in the NL Central. The finale of the series is tonight.

(Pittsburgh, PA) — Josh Bell singled in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning to lift the Pirates past the White Sox 3-2 at PNC Park. Leury Garcia and Yolmer Sanchez hit solo homers for Chicago, which has dropped nine of its last 10 games. Joakim Soria [[ WAH-keem SORE-ee-ah ]] suffered the loss.

(Las Vegas, NV) — James Neal snapped a 1-all tie early in the second period and the Golden Knights went on to beat the Jets 4-2 in Game Three of the Western Conference Final in Las Vegas. Vegas now leads the series 2-1 and will host Game Four tomorrow. The Capitals host the Lightning tonight in the East leading that series, 2-1.

(Birmingham, AL) — The Southeastern Conference is mourning the loss of former commissioner Mike Slive. He passed away Wednesday at the age of 77 in Birmingham, Alabama. A cause of death has not been revealed. Slive retired in 2015 after 13 seasons at the helm in which he helped elevate the SEC to unprecedented success.

(Baltimore, MD) — Kentucky Derby winner Justify is the heavy favorite to win Saturday’s Preakness Stakes. He will break from starting gate seven in the eight-horse field and has been installed as the 1-to-2 morning-line favorite in the second leg the Triple Crown. Derby runner-up Good Magic is the second choice at 3-to-1. Quip is 12-to-1.
