(Undated) — The Capitals and Predators were both Game Two winners in their second-round matchups in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Washington skated past Pittsburgh 4-1 in D.C. to even that best-of-seven Eastern semifinal at one. In the West, Nashville outlasted visiting Winnipeg 5-4 in double-overtime to knot that series at one.

(Chicago, IL) — Tyler Chatwood allowed just two hits over seven innings as the Cubs blanked the Brewers again 2-0 at Wrigley Field. Chatwood also had an RBI single as Chicago swept the four-game set. Brandon Morrow notched his seventh save. Three of the four wins were by shutout. The 15-and-10 Cubs host the Rockies tonight.

(Pittsburgh, PA) — The Cardinals were shut out on three hits in a 5-0 loss to the Pirates in Pittsburgh. Nick Kingham took a perfect game into the seventh inning in his big league debut for the Bucs. Paul DeJong [[ deh-YOUNG ]] broke it up with a two-out single. Luke Weaver took the loss as St. Louis was swept in the three-game series.

(Kansas City, MO) — Cheslor Cuthbert homered twice and drove in four-runs as the Royals clipped the White Sox 5-4 in Kansas City. Daniel Palka, Nicky Delmonico and Leury [[ lay-OH-ree ]] Garcia each had run scoring extra-base hits for Chicago as it fell to 8-and-18. Bruce Rondon was tagged with the loss out of the pen. The Sox have dropped two straight.

(Anaheim, CA) — Gary Sanchez launched a long two-run homer in the fourth inning and the Yankees held on to edge the Angels 2-1 in Anaheim. CC Sabathia pitched seven innings of five-hit, one-run ball for the win as New York won its ninth straight. The Yankees are second in the AL East at 18-and-9, two games behind first-place Boston.

(Arlington, TX) — The 2018 NFL Draft is in the books and the Bears ended up with seven new players. Chicago’s first selection was Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith with the eighth-overall pick. All told Chicago added four offensive players and three on the defensive side of the ball.

(Arlington, TX) — The 2018 NFL Draft is in the books and the Colts ended up with 11 new players. Indy selected star offensive lineman Quenton Nelson with the sixth overall pick out of Notre Dame. All told the Colts drafted six players on the offensive side of the ball and five on defense.

(Arlington, KY) — An NFL team is giving its first shot to a one-handed player. The Seahawks drafted UCF linebacker Shaquem Griffin in the fifth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday. The 141st overall pick had his left hand amputated at the age of four due to a congenital condition. Griffin now joins his twin brother, Shaquill, on the Seahawks.

(Talladega, AL) — Joey Logano is celebrating his victory in nearly a year after winning Sunday at Talladega. Logano held off Kurt Busch to win the Geico 500, his third career victory at Talladega. It’s Logano’s first win since April 30th of last year at Richmond. Busch was second, followed by Chase Elliott, Kevin Harvick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. NASCAR heads to Dover next Sunday.

(Louisville, KY) — It’s Kentucky Derby week at historic Churchill Downs. The first leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown will take place this Saturday with the 144th “Run for the Roses.” Among the favorites this year are Santa Anita Derby winner Justify and Magnum Moon. The post-position draw has been bumped up to 11 a.m. Eastern tomorrow.
