(Decatur, IL) — The second annual Decatur’s Smokin’ BBQ Festival will be held October 5-6 at a new location this year. Central Park and the Decatur Civic Center will be the new home this for the event. The competition takes place in the Civic Center parking lot, while live music, vendors, a kids area, and the craft beer tasting will all be held in Central Park. The event is a fundraiser for the Selma (Knox) Peete Scholarship for students who want to attend the Richland Community College Culinary Arts Institute.
