(Philadelphia, PA) — It was Dwyane Wade’s night as the Heat cut down the 76ers 113-103 in Game Two of the first round at Wells Fargo Center. Wade hit 11-of-16 shots on his way to 28 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. Miami evened up the best-of-seven matchup at one. Philadelphia had won its previous 17 games across the regular season and postseason. Game Three is in South Beach on Thursday.

(Oakland, CA) — The Warriors outscored the Spurs 69-to-48 in the second half to turn a six-point deficit into a 116-101 victory in Game Two of their first-round series at ORACLE Arena. Golden State is up 2-0 in the best-of-seven set. There are a trio of Game Twos on the slate tonight. The Raptors host the Wizards, the Bucks are at the Celtics and the Blazers welcome the Pelicans in Portland. Toronto, Boston and New Orleans are each up 1-0.

(Undated) — The Sharks are a game from moving on to the Western Conference semifinals after crushing the Ducks 8-1 at home. San Jose is up 3-0 in the best-of-seven first-round series. The Maple Leafs, Devils and Avalanche all trail in their respective matchups 2-1 after victories last night. Tonight, the Blue Jackets host the Capitals, the Jets are at the Wild and Golden Knights are in LA to play the Kings. Vegas can advance with a win.

(Chicago, IL) — The Cardinals and Cubs had their scheduled game postponed at Wrigley Field on Monday. It was to have been the start of a three-game series. That game will be made up on Saturday, July 21st as part of a day-night doubleheader that’s in the midst of a five-game series in Chicago. The Cards just swept four games at Cincinnati.

(Chicago, IL) — The Cardinals and Cubs will try again tonight at Wrigley Field. It’s now a two-game, weather-shortened series between the NL Central rivals. Adam Wainwright has been pushed back to today, with Tyler Chatwood still the scheduled starter for Chicago. The Cardinals are second in the division at 9-and-7, two games behind the Pirates.

(Chicago, IL) — A couple of key veterans are back with the Cardinals. They activated infielder Jedd Gyorko [[ JERK-oh ]] and closer Luke Gregerson from the disabled list on Monday. Both players had been sidelined with hamstring issues. To make room, the Cardinals optioned reliever Mike Mayers and utility man Yairo Munoz to Triple-A Memphis.

(Oakland, CA) — Daniel Mengden came three outs away from a complete game as the Athletics put down the White Sox 8-1 at the Oakland Coliseum. Mengden improved to 2-and-2 with eight-plus innings of one-run ball before being pulled when Jose Abreu led off the ninth with a solo blast. Reynaldo Lopez was tagged with the tough-luck loss, giving up two runs and striking out 10 in six innings of work.

(Flushing, NY) — The Nationals scored six times in the eighth inning and one in the ninth to erase a 6-1 deficit and stun the Mets 8-6 at Citi Field. Michael Taylor’s bases-loaded walk forced in the go-ahead run in the eighth and Howie Kendrick homered in the ninth for insurance. Bryce Harper also homered in the first on a pitch that broke his bat. AJ Ramos took the loss for New York.

(Durham, NC) — Another Duke underclassman is leaving school for the NBA. Wendall Carter Jr. announced Monday that he is passing on his final three years of eligibility with the Blue Devils to enter the NBA Draft. The big man is planning on hiring an agent and is expected to be a lottery pick. Duke already lost three other freshmen from last year’s team in Marvin Bagley the Third, Gary Trent Junior and Trevon Duval.
