(Champaign, IL) — One central Illinois congressman says they’re already working to make sure the next school shooting doesn’t happen. Congressman Rodney Davis yesterday said he’s happy to see so many young people becoming politically engaged. Davis said the people who marched in the weekend March for Our Lives sent a message. But Davis said Congress is already working on gun control. He says last week’s government funding plan includes a provision to close down some background check loopholes.
