(Chicago, IL) — The complaint against Speaker Mike Madigan’s political operation may end up in front of a federal judge. Alaina Hampton, the former Madigan campaigner who complained of unwanted attention from a campaign supervisor, filed a federal lawsuit yesterday. Hampton’s suit says by speaking up, she was robbed of a chance to do more work for the powerful House Speaker. Hampton is suing the Democratic Party of Illinois and the Friends of Michael J. Madigan, both of which Madigan controls.
