(DeKalb, IL) — Governor Bruce Rauner says his first job after winning the Republican primary will be to unite the Republican Party. The governor told supporters in DeKalb yesterday that he hopes to heal the party after a divisive primary battle with state Rep Jeanne Ives. Rauner said he’s not the first Illinois Republican to face a primary challenge and said he hopes the party can come together after today’s vote.
