(Springfield, IL) — The frustration at the Illinois Capitol is only growing as lawmakers say they’re still waiting for answers about what to do about Legionnaires disease at the Quincy veterans home. West-central Illinois Republican Senator Sam McCann yesterday said he’s frustrated by the Rauner Administration’s self-congratulations over what he says is a plan that is ‘clearly not working.’ McCann and a handful of Democrats are pushing a plan that’d require the state notify lawmakers, veterans, and the families of the people living at any state home of new Legionnaires cases within 24 hours.
