(Lincoln, IL) — There won’t be any hot air balloons in the skies over Lincoln this summer. Organizers last Friday said they’ve decided not to hold a Balloon Fest this summer, they’ll try again next year. Lincoln’s Chamber of Commerce organized the annual event that drew visitors to the city since 1988, but the chamber disbanded last year. Lincoln Mayor Seth Goodman said that he hopes to find the right people to revive the festival for 2019.
