(Lincoln, IL) — Illinois’ weather map is a messy mishmash of watches, warnings, and worries about the bad weather. The National Weather Service says folks from Chicago to St. Louis will start the day under a winter weather advisory as the fear is about ice and slick roads. But there are also flood watches and warnings posted for most of the same areas, with special attention being paid to the Rock and Illinois rivers. In southern Illinois, forecasts say the length of the Ohio River will be above flood stage until at least Friday.
