(Decatur, IL) — 325 voters have casted early voting ballots in the Macon County Clerk’s Office as of end of the day on Friday and another 159 voters have request mail in ballots. 2014 Primary saw 11,978 voters with 1,356 absentee including Early Ballots. In 2016 27,774 ballots were casted with 2,805 being absentee ballots. The County Clerk’s Office will be open on President’s Day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for early voting only. The office will be open Tuesday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for early voting. If you wish to vote by mail; go to the county website co.macon.il.us under the election section and download the request for an absentee ballot, complete the form including the political party’s ballot you are requesting.
