(East Lansing, MI) — Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo is going to have to deal with some more questions that he’s been trying to avoid. According to ESPN’s Outside the Lines, walk-on freshman Brock Washington has been under investigation for criminal sexual conduct since the beginning of the fall semester. Prosecutors from Ingham County, Michigan are deciding whether formal chargers will be filed.

(New York, NY) — The federal corruption case involving NCAA basketball could have wide reaching effects throughout the sport. Yahoo Sports reports that federal prosecutors are sitting on a large amount of material that could bring down Hall of Fame coaches and some of college hoops’ top programs. There are reports that there could be dozens of NCAA rules violations buried in the mountain of evidence.

Denver’s Nikola Jokic became the sixth player in NBA history to tally a triple-double with at least 30 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists as the Nuggets beat the Bucks. The Rising Stars Game is tonight followed by All-Star Saturday Night and the 2018 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

(Chicago, IL) — The Blackhawks blew a 2-0 lead in a 3-2 loss to the Ducks at the United Center. Duncan Keith and Brandon Saad [[ SAHD ]] lit the lamp for Chicago, which has lost eight straight. Anton Forsberg gave up three goals on 32 shots in defeat. The Blackhawks host the Caps tomorrow night.

(PyeongChang, South Korea) — Team USA has its first win in the men’s hockey tournament at the Winter Games in PyeongChang. The Americans bounced back from their opening loss to clip Slovakia 2-1 at the Gangneung [[ GANG-young ]] Hockey Centre. Ryan Donato scored both goals for the U.S. including the game-winner with less than three-minutes left in regulation.

(PyeongChang, South Korea) — American skier Mikaela Shiffrin is leaving PyeongChang with less hardware than she would like. She failed to reach the podium in the women’s slalom event and had to settle for a fourth-place finish. It was a disappointing women’s snowboard cross event for American Lindsey Jacobellis too. She wasn’t able to win her first gold medal and didn’t place in the top three.
