(Springfield, IL) — Workers and visitors at the Illinois Capitol are being told not to use too much water when they wash their hands. Capitol Complex managers yesterday suggested that people only use a ‘pencil thin’ stream of water to wash their hands. The new water precautions also order people not to use misters, nebulizers, or humidifiers. The order comes as Capitol managers wait for final word on whether the bacteria that causes Legionnaires’ disease is present in the statehouse water system.
