Congratulations to MacArthur’s Armon Brummett who has committed to Bradley University to play basketball. Brummett just joined the 1000 points scored career mark this season during recent holiday tournament play at Collinsville in December.

He’s just the seventh player in history to reach the career milestone and the youngest at age 33.

(New York, NY) — The NBA All-Star reserves are out. The West backups are Russell Westbrook, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, LaMarcus Aldridge, Jimmy Butler, Karl-Anthony Towns and Damian Lillard. The East backups are John Wall, Bradley Beal, Al Horford, Kevin Love, Kyle Lowry, Victor Oladipo [[ oh-lah-DEE-poh ]] and Kristaps Porzingis.

(Philadelphia, PA) — The Bulls close out their three-game road trip tonight against the 76ers. Chicago is coming off a crushing 132-128 double OT loss to the Pelicans on Monday. The Bulls are 18-and-29. Philly is 22-and-21.

(Chicago, IL) — The Blackhawks are back on the ice tonight taking on the Maple Leafs at the United Center. Chicago has lost three straight to drop to 22-19-and-6. They have 50 points, seven out of the second Wild Card spot in the West. Toronto has 57 points, third in the Atlantic Division. In other news, Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville says goalie Crawford is working towards return. He’s been out since December 27th.

(St. Louis, MO) — Carter Hutton denied all 25 shots sent his way as the Blues blanked the Senators 3-0 at Scottrade Center. Vladimir Sobotka, Vladimir Tarasenko and Braden Schenn scored for St. Louis, which has won three-of-four. The Blues are third in the Central Division with 61 points. They host the Avalanche tomorrow.

(Cooperstown, NY) — The National Baseball Hall of Fame will reveal its Class of 2018 tonight. Among the first-time eligibles are Chipper Jones, Jim Thome [[ TOE-me ]], Johan Santana and Omar Vizquel. Stars Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Sammy Sosa, all clouded by steroid accusations during their careers, are on the ballot for the sixth time.

(Tempe, AZ) — Steve Wilks is in place as the new head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. The former Carolina Panthers assistant head coach and defensive coordinator was formally introduced on Tuesday. Wilks replaces Bruce Arians, who resigned earlier this month after five seasons. The Lions and Colts are the only teams left without a head coach.

(Asheville, NC) — Tennis star Serena Williams is gearing up for her return to the court. She will play for the U.S. when it opens defense of its Fed Cup title against the Netherlands next month in North Carolina. The 36-year-old has played just one exhibition match since giving birth to her daughter in September. Her last pro event was the 2017 Aussie Open.

(Champaign, IL) — Illinois welcome Indiana to the State Farm Center tonight. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. The Fighting Illini are still looking for their first Big Ten win of the season. Illinois has lost six straight games to fall below .500 at 10-and-11. That includes an 0-and-8 conference record. The Hoosiers come in at 12-and-8 and 5-and-3.
