(St. Louis, MO) — Pekka Rinne stopped 29-of-30 shots to help the Predators earn a 2-1 win over the Blues at the Scottrade Center. The Preds jumped the Blues for first place in the Central Division with 49 points. Vladimir Sobotka was the only player to score for St. Louis, which has dropped six of its last eight games. The Blues will travel to Dallas to face the Stars tomorrow.

(Lake Forest, IL) — The Bears close out the 2017 NFL season on Sunday playing the Vikings in Minneapolis. Chicago beat the Browns 20-3 during Week 16 to improve to 5-and-10. Minnesota is 12-and-3. Yesterday, head coach John Fox said he’s not concerned about his job status.

Drake Kulick scored his first career rushing touchdown on a one-yard plunge with 3:09 left to lift the Hawkeyes to the victory and an 8-and-5 record. Akrum Wadley scored his 35th career Iowa touchdown in the third quarter to tie the game at 17.

(Santa Clara, CA) — Elijah Sindelar found Anthony Mahoungou for the winning touchdown with 1:44 left as Purdue edged Arizona, 38-35, at the Foster Farms Bowl in Santa Clara. Sindelar threw for 396 yards and four touchdowns for the Boilermakers, who blew a 17-point halftime lead. D.J. Knox ran for 101 yards and a touchdown as Purdue ends the season at 7-and-6.

(Houston, TX) — The Longhorn defense helped the team’s cause as they dumped Missouri, 33-16, in the Texas Bowl in Houston. Anthony Wheeler returned a fumble 38 yards for a score to give Texas a 21-7 lead heading into halftime. The defense also recorded a safety on a botched snap and forced four turnovers. Sam Ehlinger and Shane Buechele each threw touchdowns as the Longhorns finish the season 7-and-6.
