(Chicago, IL) — You may soon have the option to swipe at the Salvation Army’s Red Kettles. Army commanders in Chicago on Sunday said that they are considering cashless kettles next year. The reason is obvious, people carry credit and debit cards more than they do cash. Salvation Army chapters across Illinois say they saw fewer donations this holiday season than in years past.
