(Chicago, IL) — A Chicago police officer is heading to prison for five years for an on-duty shooting. A federal judge yesterday sentenced Officer Marco Proano to prison for excessive force. Dash cam video showed Proano firing into a moving car full of teens back in December of 2013, and he hit two of them. Judge Gary Feinerman yesterday said not only were Proano’s actions unjustified, they were a slap in the face of other police officers who work hard to serve and protect.
