(Chicago, IL) — The Dodgers are a win away from their first World Series since 1988. LA grabbed a commanding 3-0 lead on the Cubs in the NLCS with a 6-1 win at Wrigley Field. Yu Darvish pitched one-run ball into the seventh for the win. Andre Ethier and Chris Taylor each hit solo homers for the Dodgers, who can sweep the series in Game Four tonight.

(Bronx, NY) — The Yankees evened the American League Championship Series at two by rallying for a 6-4 win over the Astros in the Bronx. New York trailed 4-0 before scoring two in the seventh and four in the eighth. Aaron Judge started the comeback with a solo homer seventh and tied the game with an RBI double in the eighth. Game Five is today at Yankee Stadium.

(Cleveland, OH) — It was almost a storybook return to Cleveland for Celtics’ star Kyrie Irving. Irving came up short on a game-tying, three-point attempt at the buzzer as Boston fell to the Cavaliers 102-99 in Cleveland. The Cavs traded Irving to the Celtics during the offseason after he demanded a trade. Irving scored 22 points on 8-of-17 shooting with 10 assists in defeat.
>>Celtics’ Hayward Stretchered Off With Fractured Ankle
(Cleveland, OH) — It was a short-lived debut for new Celtics forward Gordon Hayward. Boston head coach Brad Stevens says Hayward suffered a dislocated ankle and fractured tibia early in their season-opening loss in Cleveland. Hayward was carried off the court on a stretcher as a stunned crowd looked on. Hayward signed with Boston as a free-agent this offseason.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The Colts will now be on a short week as they prep to welcome the Jaguars to Lucas Oil Stadium. Indy sits at 2-and-4 coming off of a loss to the Titans on Monday night. Jacksonville is 3-and-3 after a loss to the Rams on Sunday. Indy is 22-and-10 all time against the Jags, but the teams have split the season-series each of the past two seasons.

(White Plains, New York, NY) — Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott can play this weekend against the 49ers in San Francisco. A U.S. District judge in the Southern District of New York has granted Elliott a temporary restraining order that blocks the league’s six-game suspension. According to NFL Media, the suspension is stayed for 14 days or until further proceedings.

(St. Louis, MO) — The Blues welcome the Blackhawks to Scottrade Center tonight. St. Louis just finished a four-game road trip, losing the final two games at Florida and Tampa Bay. The Blues beat the Islanders and Rangers to open the swing and are now 4-2-and-0 overall. That puts them second in the Central Division with eight points, one behind Chicago.
>>Illinois Getting Set For Gophers
(Champaign, IL) — Illinois football will be in enemy territory this weekend. The Fighting Illini face the Golden Gophers Saturday afternoon in Minnesota. Illinois dropped a 35-24 home decision to Rutgers this past Saturday. The Illini have lost four straight games overall to slip to 2-and-4, including 0-and-3 in Big Ten play. The Gophers are 3-and-3 overall.
