(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals are shaking up their coaching staff. GM John Mozeliak says pitching coach Derek Lilliquist and bullpen coach Blaise Ilsley will not return next season. Lilliquist had been the Cards’ pitching coach since August 2012. St. Louis has missed the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2008.

The team tweeted a picture yesterday of Jeter sitting behind a desk shortly after his group closed on its purchase of the team. He will not suit up this Sunday and Jacoby Brissett will remain the starter. Indianapolis is looking to bounce back from last Sunday night’s 46-18 road loss to the Seahawks. The Colts dropped to 1-and-3 on the season with the setback. San Francisco is 0-and-4.

(New York, NY) — The NBA is tweaking its All-Star format. The league is abandoning the standard East vs. West format and will instead have two captains choose up sides. The player with the most All-Star votes in each conference will serve as captain and take turns picking the rest of their roster from the pool of other All-Stars.
