San Francisco fell to 0-and-3.

(Undated) — The fiancee of former tight end Aaron Hernandez is suing the NFL and the Patriots for not disclosing the link between suicidal impulses and CTE. Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez filed the lawsuit in Massachusetts. Hernandez killed himself in his prison cell in April. He was serving a life sentence for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.

(Houston, TX) — The White Sox avoided a three-game sweep with a 3-1 win over the Astros in Houston. Tim Anderson hit a solo homer for Chicago, which stopped a three-game skid. Chris Volstad picked up the win in relief of starter Carson Fulmer, who left in the first due to a blister.

Javier Baez tied the game in the ninth with a two-out, two-strike RBI single. The Cubs now lead the Brewers by four-and-a-half games atop the NL Central. The teams play again tonight.

(Anaheim, CA) — The Indians keep on rolling. Cleveland completed a three-game sweep of the Angels with a 4-1 win in Anaheim. Francisco Lindor hit a three-run homer for the Indians, who are only the second team in MLB history to win 27 out of 28 games. The 1884 Providence Grays are the only other team to accomplish the feat.
