(Rock Island, IL) — Nine of the men arrested for their roles in a Quad Cities’ dog fighting ring are facing prison time. A federal judge in Rock Island is expected to sentence the nine today. All of them pleaded guilty over the past year, federal agents busted the ring in April of 2016. The FBI seized 64 dogs as well, but prosecutors yesterday said 44 had to be put down either for health or behavior problems.
